WHO ARE YOU?

Slovakian midfielder Miroslav Karhan takes a swipes at Becks: "I don't like it when a star player like Beckham whinges to the referee. But at the same time he was going into tackles with his two feet first.

"The referee let him off. But when you touch Beckham he immediately starts like a cry baby. I can't stand that."

It's almost as bad as slagging off a fellow proffessional in the papers, isn't it?

But Sven Goran Eriksson has stuck up for his skipper, when asked he said:

"I saw he was criticised and I remember the situation they are complaining about. It was not a nice tackle, it was a tough tackle.

"I've seen tackles much much worse than that - it shouldn't be a discussion at all."

But Eriksson accepted Beckham is not the best tackler in the world.

The Swede said: "Every footballer has his strengths. But I don't expect Sol Campbell to be putting in crosses like Beckham."

Becks said: "It was a 50-50 tackle. I would never go into a tackle and try and hurt someone - that is not me."
