Scotland manager Walter Smith:

"Darren's performances for the national team have been great. He is now showing that at club level, which is terrific. He could even have played for the Scotland Under-21 side on Friday against France this week.

"There has been great expectation on him, but he has handled it well and is transferring it into his club performances."
