From The People:

David Beckham is privately worried about his emotional return to Old Trafford on Wednesday.

The England skipper has confided in team-mates that he is unsure what kind of reception awaits him - even though he gave 15 years' service to the club he has supported man and boy.

Becks is said to be furious at the way he has been portrayed as anti-Alex Ferguson.

He claims that his controversial book - which is officially released on Friday - PRAISES Ferguson more than it condemns him.

But after his outspoken comments about Fergie, the frenzy might not be as great at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

Dave: "I had 15 great years at a great club. They are all my friends - in fact, I still regard everyone at Manchester United as family. I'm looking forward to going back."

The Sunday Mirror:

Publicly, Fergie has refused to address issues raised in Beckham's book but privately he is absolutely seething at what he feels is an unbalanced assassination of his character.

The Sunday Mirror can reveal that Ferguson has no intention of going to the game or making the peace with Beckham.

An insider said: "As far as Sir Alex is concerned Beckham is history, they have nothing to talk about."
