PS: "I have played against him a few times and he is a good player.

"He always gets a bit of stick for the trouble he gets into, but he has talent as well and he is a difficult player to play against.

"I think he has tried to wind me up in every game he has played against me so it'll be no different. Whatever he tries, we know he will be up to something.

"I think he has done a great job at Millwall getting them to the final. He is probably a bit disappointed he didn't get them to the play-offs but I am sure next season he will do even better. I played with him a couple of times and I never thought he would be a manager."

SAF: "Unless you know players and have worked with them you don't really know that.

"What you see of a player on a football pitch is not necessarily an indication of what they are likely to be as managers. I even find that with my own players. One I thought was a certainty to be a manager and somebody I thought was certain not to be one, have had careers which have gone the opposite ways."
