Phil Neville has reiterated his desire to stay at United for the umpteenth time this week.

"It is still the club I want to play for at the moment," he told Sky Sports.

"The way I see it, the bigger challenge for me is to stay and fight for my place.

"The easy way out is to go and play football elsewhere.

"Captaining this side has made me a proud man and I would like to continue
playing for this club."

"The boss (Sir Alex Ferguson) tells me he still wants me and that is the most
important person I should listen to,"

"There are some great players and it is a great team.

"Over the years I have contributed and the boss has made sure I have
contributed, even though I have not played week in, week out.

"This year has been a little bit different. I have probably not played the amount of games I have done in the past but he assures me I will make a contribution.

"As long as I feel I am making a contribution and still feel as if I am good enough to play for this team, I will stay and fight for my place."
