We all know he's coming, it's just a case of when (provided the board don't scupper/f*ck it up as usual). Sifting through all the rumours flying about RI still believes the most accurate to be a deal in January in the region of £17.5m, most likely with a player or two going to Goodison. Any move before then will probably be down to Moyes' wishes.

Gary Neville:

"It's not unfeasible for him to go to another club. When a player has performed like he has done in this tournament, he's always going to attract a lot of attention.

"For England, I'm just lucky to have the opportunity to play with him because he is such a special talent. Obviously he needs nurturing and looking after, but he's level-headed and he's a good football player.

"He's the type who will hold the ball up, turn and run at a player and there aren't many players like that."

Some agent bloke:

Jon Smith, of the SFX group, believes Everton are unlikely to win the battle to keep the Premiership's hottest property.

"I'd be very surprised if Everton end up keeping him. I think they've done a very good job trying.

"Maybe if two or three other players become part of that transaction I think it would serve them [Everton] well."
