SOCCER star Robbie Fowler did a runner from an airport cafe without paying for two cans of Coca-Cola and a sandwich worth £5.50.

The millionaire Manchester City striker took the goods as he was about to board a flight from Southampton with other players and staff.

A source at the firm, Scotair, said last night:
"It was all very embarrassing. Fowler and the others were seen taking sandwiches and drinks. After the players got to the plane, officials radioed through to ask them to pay."

Fowler, 29 - a £7million signing from Leeds - was celebrating City's win over Portsmouth on Saturday night at the airport when he and other team-mates went to the canteen. It was closed, so they helped themselves to £30 of food and drink between them.
