United have denied any interest in Oliver ‘Uncle Peter’ Kahn following speculation in Germany that he may sign for us.
A United spokesman said: "Sir Alex Ferguson already has two top-line keepers at his disposal in American Tim Howard and Northern Ireland international Roy Carroll, who he rates very highly.
"He said it was the hardest decision of his career leaving one of them out of the FA Cup Final and bringing in someone like Oliver Kahn would only muddy the waters further."
