Doug Rougvie of Fergie's former players had a boot thrown at him by SAF and thinks that it's part of his character. In an Interview with the London Evening Standard Rougvie said

"He has thrown a few things at me before, anything that is handy from boots to sandwiches. He threw things at all of us," he told the London Evening Standard.

"We obviously hoped it was going to be something soft. It just shows the man's passion for the game.

"I am sure he has hit me with things before but it was just part and parcel with him. If it happened to one of the other boys, we all had a good laugh. You just hoped it wasn't to be you.

"But we played so many games that everyone knew they were going to have something thrown at them in the end. It was just one of those things that went on in the changing rooms in the heat of the moment."
