Bayern Munich have reportedly entered the race to sign teenage sensation Kennet Eichhorn who is also a target for Manchester United.
The 16-year-old midfielder has impressed scouts across Europe with his performances for Hertha Berlin in the second tier of German football.
United have been tracking the youngster as part of their strategy to recruit the brightest talents on the continent.
However the German champions are determined not to lose such a high potential player to a foreign rival. Competition for Eichhorn's signature is expected to be fierce when the summer transfer window opens later this year.
